The detail
E-commerce development is for brands and retailers who want an online store that shows their products well, takes payment without fuss and gets orders to customers. We build on Shopify, WooCommerce and headless commerce for businesses worldwide, and the same team looks after the store once it is live.
What does building an online store involve?
A store is more than a design. It is a catalogue, a checkout, a payment gateway, shipping rules, tax settings, order emails and an admin area your team can use without help.
We build all of it: the product structure, the collections and filters people use to find things, the cart and checkout, and the connections to payment, courier and accounting tools. Analytics goes in before launch, so from the first order you can see which products and pages bring sales.
Which platform should my store be on?
Shopify works for most brands that want a dependable store with little upkeep. The platform handles hosting, security updates and checkout.
WooCommerce runs on WordPress. It fits teams already on WordPress, and those who want to own their data and add custom features through plugins and code.
Headless commerce splits the store in two: the engine that holds products and checkout, and the website customers see. It suits brands that need very fast pages and a design a theme cannot provide. It also costs more to maintain, so we recommend it only when the benefit is clear.
If you already have a platform that works, we will not push you to change it.
How we build your store
We start with how you actually sell: how many products, how they vary, how you ship and how you handle returns. Then we choose the platform, plan the catalogue, sketch the key pages and write the scope.
The build happens in short blocks you can click through as we go. Products are imported along the way. Before launch we place real test orders on real phones, including a refund and a failed payment, so the awkward cases are proven before a customer meets them.
How the TechSum Standard applies to your store
- Secure by default: card details stay with the payment gateway, admin accounts get two-step sign-in, and staff see only what their role needs.
- Built to scale: the catalogue and checkout are set up so a bigger range, a new currency or a sale season means more products, not a rebuild.
- Tested before it ships: the full order journey, from product page to order email, is checked on real devices before launch.
- Looked after after launch: updates, monitoring and fixes carry on through a website care plan, and every request is logged where you can see it.
- Small changes handled, not invoiced: a new banner for a festival sale or a fixed product description gets done, not quoted.
- Honest advice: if a simple payment link would sell your few products just as well, we tell you before you pay for a full store.
When a full store is not what you need
If you sell a handful of products through social media, a simple product page and a payment link may serve you better for now. If you need a marketplace with many sellers, that is closer to a software platform than a store, and we will talk about it on those terms.
What your store connects to
A store touches almost everything a business runs on. Payments come through payment gateway integration, order updates can go out on the WhatsApp Business API, and GA4 analytics shows where buyers come from. If the current store is slow, speed work comes first. If you are leaving one platform for another, see website migration. One team covers all of it.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
Should I choose Shopify, WooCommerce or headless commerce?
Shopify suits most brands that want a dependable store with little upkeep. WooCommerce suits teams already on WordPress who want full control of their data and plugins. Headless commerce runs the store engine on one platform and shows customers a custom Next.js site, which suits brands that need very fast pages and a design no theme can give. We recommend one after we understand your catalogue and your team.
Can the store take payments in rupees and in other currencies?
Yes. We connect gateways such as Razorpay and Stripe and set up currencies based on what each gateway supports for your business. The right mix depends on where your customers are and how they like to pay. See payment gateway integration for the detail.
Can you move my existing store without losing orders or search rankings?
Yes. We move products, customers and order history where the platforms allow it, and map every old page address to its new one so search rankings carry over. The method is the one on our website migration page.
Who looks after the store after launch?
You can run it yourself after a training session, and most day-to-day changes are made to be easy. For updates, monitoring and fixes, a website care plan keeps the same team looking after it.
How is a store build paid for?
Most store builds are a fixed-scope project. The scope, the schedule and the payment terms are agreed in writing before the build starts, so there are no surprises later.
