The detail
The AI Opportunity Audit is for businesses that keep hearing about AI and want a straight answer on where it would help them. Everyone is selling AI, and it is hard to tell which ideas would save your team real time and which would only add a tool to look after. You walk away with a ranked list of opportunities, a note on what to leave alone and a recommended first project, in a short written report.
What does the AI Opportunity Audit look at?
We start with how the work is done today. We look for tasks repeated every day, places where people copy data between systems, answer the same questions, read documents or build the same report. Those are the places where workflow automation, AI agents (assistants that can also take actions) or WhatsApp AI reception might save real time.
For each idea we ask four things: how much time or cost it could save, how hard it is to build, how good your data is for it, and what could go wrong. Accuracy and privacy get a line of their own, because an automation that is sometimes wrong in a way nobody notices is worse than none.
How does the audit run?
You choose the part of the business to examine, or we help you pick. We talk to the people who do the work, look at the systems and documents involved, and collect examples. Then we analyse and rank. The price is fixed and agreed before we start.
What do you walk away with?
A short written report with the opportunities ranked by impact, effort and risk, a plain list of things not worth automating and a recommended first project, with an outline of what it would involve. It is written for the owner or manager who decides, not only for technical staff.
What happens after the audit?
If an opportunity looks good, the next step is a small, well-scoped build under AI Systems & Automation. If the audit shows your data needs sorting first, Data & Analytics comes before anything else. If you want an ongoing adviser on AI decisions, Fractional Leadership includes a part-time AI Officer.
Is this right for you?
It suits any business with repeated manual work, from a clinic fielding the same questions to a trading firm retyping invoices. If you already know what you want built, you may not need an audit at all, and we will say so. Curious where AI fits? Start with the audit.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Will you recommend AI even where it is not needed?
No. The audit includes a list of things we think you should leave alone. If a spreadsheet, a simple rule or a better process does the job, we will say so.
Do I need to have my data ready?
No. We look at the data you have as part of the audit and tell you whether it is good enough for what you want to do.
Is AI safe for customer or business data?
It depends on what is shared and with whom. The report flags the data and privacy risks for each opportunity, so you decide knowing what is involved.
Do we have to build what the audit recommends?
No. The report is yours and you can act on it with anyone. If you want us to build, we will explain how we would approach the first project.
