Built On Intent
A site that shows the studio's work on the first screen, chosen from five tested design directions, with a journal and city pages the founder can publish without a developer.

The problem
A new consultancy selling websites, search visibility and AI systems needed a site that looks like a focused studio and shows its work, without the stock look of an agency template, and that search engines and AI assistants can read.
What we did
One team covered each of these. The full story, from the problem to what changed, is below.
- Web Design & Development
More enquiries from your website, and a site your team can actually update.
- Search & Answer Visibility
Found on Google and in AI answers, by the people looking for what you do.
- Brand & Identity
A brand people remember, applied the same way on your website, slides and print.
Built On Intent is a founder-led studio that builds websites, search visibility and AI systems for businesses in India, Dubai and the UK. We designed and built its website.
What was the problem?
The studio agrees a one-page plan with each business before it builds anything. Its site had to say so on the first screen, show real work, and answer the question a buyer asks before booking a call: are these people serious, and will they tell me if I am better off elsewhere?
Agency websites tend to look alike, and a consultancy that sells strategy as much as design cannot afford to. The site also had to avoid the other common mistake, a pretty page that search engines and AI assistants cannot read. The brand was young, so the mark and the tone were still being settled, and the founder needed to publish articles and city pages without a developer rebuilding the site each time.
What did we do?
We started with options instead of a single guess. The first stage produced five concept directions. Each was a working page sharing one set of design tokens and one redrawn mark, with a home page, a service page and a contact view. The direction called Studio Wall was chosen, and we built it in full as web design and development, with a light touch of brand and identity work on the mark.
- Work first. The site opens on a "planning wall": pinned screenshots of recent work around the headline. The Work page is the same wall, which you can drag around, filter by sector or switch to a plain list.
- Plain services. Services are described as four jobs: get found, get chosen, get enquiries handled, and get the right technology decisions. The studio page says what the studio will not do and how a project runs, in four steps: diagnose, decide, build and improve.
- Publishing without a developer. For search and answer visibility, the journal and city pages are generated from Markdown files by a small script. The same script writes the RSS feed, the sitemap and an llms.txt file that tells AI assistants what the studio does.
- Fast and hard to break. The site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. A deploy script packages it, cleans up internal links, versions the assets, checks every link and file, uploads it and swaps it in. The previous version stays on the server, so a rollback is one step.
- Accessible by design. We aimed for WCAG 2.2 AA: text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 and touch targets of at least 44 pixels, checked with an automated accessibility audit, an overlap detector and a crawl of the live site.
The site sits on a CloudPanel server we look after, behind nginx, as a static site.
What changed?
- builtonintent.com is live with the work wall, services, studio page, journal and city pages, and the founder can publish a new article or city page from a Markdown file.
- Enquiry, search and AI citation results: [RESULT TO CONFIRM]. The site is new and its analytics property has not received data yet.
- Still to come from Built On Intent: the booking link, enquiry email, WhatsApp number, studio address, founder name and portrait, and details for pricing, timings and case study results. The contact form does not submit anywhere yet, and each missing item is marked as a placeholder instead of a guess.
