Our story

We started with service. The technology came after.

TechSum is one team that designs, builds and looks after what growing businesses run on: websites, apps, software, AI and automation, security and the infrastructure behind them. Sarthak Umesh Salokhe founded it on one idea: serve the business first, and let that decide what gets built.

Our story

What is TechSum, and why does it exist?

TechSum started with one belief: a small team that gives each project its full attention can work to the standard large companies pay a premium for. 4+ years and 150+ projects later, across 15+ industries and 3+ countries, we still work that way.

We work across ten disciplines, from product development and web design and development to data and analytics, AI and automation, trust, security and compliance, infrastructure and search and answer visibility. The standard is the same for a landing page and for a platform.

The name holds two ideas

Tech

Technology as a tool: the software, the systems and the hosting that make an idea real.

Sum

The total: design, engineering, strategy and care adding up to more than any one of them alone.

Products we build and run

  • Site Bitea chatbot for websites
  • Art-icleda content engine
  • Client Ops Portalmaintenance work kept on record

Running our own software keeps us honest about what it takes to look after yours.

Where it starts

Where does the way we work come from?

TechSum was built on Seva, selfless service: service that puts your business first, not our portfolio, our convenience or our invoice. Six values come from it, each with a behaviour you can hold us to, because a value without a behaviour is only decoration.
  • Satya, truth. We say the uncomfortable thing early: when an idea needs rethinking, and when we are not the right team for it. Where we can, we point you to someone who is.

  • Tapas, disciplined effort. The smallest project gets the same standard as the largest. Effort does not scale with budget.

  • Ahimsa, do no harm. We never overbill, overpromise or oversell, and we use no dark patterns, in our work or anyone else’s. If the simpler solution is the right one, we recommend it, even when a bigger build would pay us more.

  • Gyan, knowledge. We aim to be ahead of the conversation, not just current with it, and learning time stays protected when we are busy. We adopt a new tool only once it is tested and safe for your data.

  • Shraddha, trust that is earned. Trust comes from delivery, not from a pitch, so we do not chase work we cannot honour. We hand everything over: every source file, every login, nothing held back.

  • Ananda, joy in the making. We take on work we believe in, because joy in the making keeps the quality high. You can feel it in the result, and in every conversation along the way.

We charge for our work. The service is in the attention we bring to it, from the first conversation to long after launch, as you can see in how we work. All of it started with one person’s way of working.

What never changes

The Frame and the Field.

A racing team builds a completely different car every season, inside rules that never bend. We work the same way: a short set of fixed rules for every project, and freedom everywhere else. The rules protect your project. The freedom belongs to the work.

The Frame: fixed for every project

  1. Your logins, keys and secrets are stored and shared to fixed security rules.
  2. Your data is kept only as long as it is needed, and only the right people can see it.
  3. What you share with us stays confidential, under an NDA when you need one.
  4. Money terms are clear before work starts, and any change is agreed in writing first.
  5. Commitments are kept, or renegotiated early. Never quietly missed.
  6. Every piece of work passes the same check before it ships.
  7. No overbilling, no overpromising and no dark patterns.
  8. No made-up numbers in anything we deliver.
  9. We say early whether we are the right team, and decline work we cannot do well.

The Field: open to the best idea

Everything else is free: how your product looks, which technology fits, how a problem gets solved. Our defaults are starting points, not mandates, so the best idea wins, whoever it comes from.

It is also why we are fast. The repeatable parts are rehearsed until they take no thought, like a pit stop, so the thinking goes into your problem.

Our visionTo prove that a small studio, properly built, can deliver what the industry believes requires an army.

The founder

Who founded TechSum?

Sarthak Umesh Salokhe founded TechSum Digital Solutions in Pune in 2021 and still leads its work. Today the team works with businesses worldwide.
  • Capability

He works across the whole job. He shapes the brief and the technical plan, designs the interface and writes the scope, and he has led software delivery for government bodies and large companies.

  • Creativity

He looks for the version of an idea that fits the business in front of him, instead of reaching for a stock template.

  • Innovation

It shows in the products we build and run ourselves, and in studio concepts such as the Sundial and Studio Desk prototypes.

He joins the first conversation and stays with the project. He asks about your business before he proposes anything, explains why something is needed before he asks you to commit to it, and tells you when we are not the right team for the job.

  • The largest scope submitted: a statewide system across 36 district administrations.

The work involved building, and leading the build of, software across equipment, service desk, property and compliance systems, with technical solution design and pre-sales on every engagement. The same experience informs our trust, security and compliance work, and it is the same discipline every engagement gets, whatever its size. We implement the controls. Partner counsel advises on legal interpretation, and certification and formal testing go through accredited partners.

How we work

How does the TechSum team work?

See how we work
  • You talk to the people doing the work

No account managers in between. The person you explain the problem to is the person who solves it.

  • One team for everything

Design, build, security and care in one place. When a job needs a specialist, we bring in a trusted partner, and you still deal with us.

  • Honest about fit

We would rather lose a project than start one we cannot do well.

  • We stay after launch

Updates, security fixes and monitoring carry on through a care plan, with every request logged where you can see it.

Talk to the people who do the work

Tell us what is slowing you down.

You don’t need a brief or the right technical terms. Describe the problem in plain words, or book a short call. Either way, you speak with the people who would do the work.

Write whenever it suits you. A person on the team reads every message.

Write to us

Name and email are enough to start. “Not sure yet” is a fine answer.

We use your details only to reply to you. Privacy notice

Or book a short call

Pick a time that suits you. We talk about your business and what should change, and you leave with a sensible first step.
